Unbonded prestressed steel strand is mainly used in post-tensioning prestressed system. The difference between unbonded prestressed steel strand and bonded steel strand is that the prestress does not bond with the surrounding concrete, because there is grease and sheath outside. During its work, the steel strand is allowed to slide longitudinally relative to the surrounding concrete, and the preload is transmitted to the concrete by the anchorage. Unbonded steel strands are used for cast-in-place floors of large-span and large bay buildings, prefabricated beams with large loads and other special structures. It has the characteristics of no need to reserve holes, grouting, simple construction, material saving, random bending, etc.

PC Strands are mainly used in prestressed concrete structure reinforcement, such as large-span bridges on railway and highway, overhead crane beam, rock-soil anchoring project, multi-storey industrial buildings, stadiums, coal mines, etc.

3）PC strand can also be supplied in various forms for pre- or post-tensioning applications, with plain or galvanized material ranging from 3 wires, 7 wires, 19 wire and compacted construction.
